Introduction
Welcome.
As you may or may not know, there are 5 elements of hip hop*:
- The DJ
- The MC
- The B-Boy
- The Beatboxer
- The Graffiti Artist
The sixth element, or sixth category, is what brings it all together.
To be any one of the 5 elements of hip hop, you must master a craft.
To be the sixth element requires a strong understanding of all 5 elements, stronger than the strongest hurricane…
…it could only be a Category 6!
Introducing category6.ca, the sixth element of hip hop, bringing the DJ, MC, B-Boy, Beatboxer and Graffiti Artist together for mutual benefit and exposure.

Category 6 was conceived and developed by Matthew “M.C. Spy” Jensen of JensenWorks Technology, the business behind Legacy Entertainment Canada in Association with Bobby “DJ Crush” Marshall and their artist Seb “Lil Rou” Rousseau, the label New-Jazz Records, founded by John “Junebug” Hubbard and their group The Scale Breakers (Guy Woods and Steven “Subs” McGruther), the artist Roll’n Dice of Poundin’ Records, the artist Kadra, the artist John Dough and the producer Gonzo. Category 6 was brought to you with the relentless encouragement, support and input of Collin “Sketch” Young, to whom we are eternally grateful.
